A single-storey villa on a quiet lane in Catangnan, five minutes by scooter to the Cloud 9 boardwalk and ten to General Luna town. Three bedrooms open onto a big living room that runs straight out to the pool and a covered terrace.
It was built in 2022. The owner lives in Davao, so a local caretaker looks after the house and comes by twice a week. Starlink is installed and the generator kicks in within seconds of a brownout.
Honest downsides
The pool pump can be heard from the third bedroom, and there's no sea view. The last 200 m of road is gravel, fine in the wet season but slow in a car.

The lot sits a little above the lane and the owner says it hasn't flooded since the house was built. We haven't seen it in the wet season yet, so we'll say so honestly.
